When speaking to kinship care providers, the most repeated unmet need I hear about is the lack of resources to help caregivers navigate their new family dynamics. that's exactly why I created this resource. As a child of kinship care and a kinship caregiver turned kinship adoptive mom, I understand both the struggle and the necessity of healthy boundaries. I understand the nuance of trying to implement them with family, without support and even worse, with relentless pushback. Often the response leads us to question if we are being too firm or not empathetic enough. It can be an isolating and overwhelming experience...but it's valuable to know you are NOT alone.
